Avez-vous peur du noir? :)
Are you afraid of the dark ?
This was the question with which we started our new unit – the night and the day.
We tried to answer a couple of questions to begin with. What do you think of when I say ‘’day’’’and ‘’night’’? What can we you see in the day? And in the night? What do you do in the day and the night? Are the activities that you do in the day different or similar to what you do in the night? When is it morning? And when would you say, it is night?
The children understood that when the sun sets, its night and when the sun rises, its day. The moon, the stars, candles, lamps, bulbs, fire crackers, torches, fire, etc.. help illuminate the dark.
This brought us back to our initial question – are you afraid of the dark? Undoubtedly, some of them were a bit disturbed by the idea of being in a dark room. J So, together, we saw a small video that showed wonderfully that there is absolutely no reason to be afraid of the dark.
