The kids had a couple of questions this week - Why does the sun set? Where does it go? DO the sun and the moon meet? Are they ever together in the sky?.
To find answers for these questions, we saw two videos. One showing the sun's journey in the sky from sunrise to sunset. While watching this, we noted down the colors that corresponded to each part of the day.
We then saw another video which replied to the question - do the sun and the moon ever meet in the sky?
The each of us picked a particular moment in the day and illustrated it with the colors that we noted down earlier. We will make sure to show you the finished product once its done. :)
Next week, we will try to understand a bit further the sun's position in the sky at different times of the day.
As for Discovering writing, we are currently working on a small project with Rhymes. The kids composed their own song with their own names after listening to a song we did in class - Monsieur Salade. They then went on to painting their part of the song. We will soon try to record it and will send it to you as soon as we finish! :)
