This week we concentrated on just one single music instrument – The Guitar! We knew already that it belonged to the Strings family, but what else?
We observed it and realised that it has 6 strings. Furthermore, none of them are of the same thickness.
We also went on to discover that we can play the guitar with our fingers as well as a plectrum. We can strum, pick and pluck the guitar whereas the instruments in the wind family can be played by blowing and the percussions can be played by taping and shaking.
We all then went on to play the guitar and realised the fattest string had a low pitch whereas the thinnest of them all had the highest pitch!
